Right now across the country too many little Aussie heroes are doing it tough. Children are Australia’s most vulnerable and precious resource, yet right now more than 605,000 are living in disadvantage and are unable to access the same educational, health or life opportunities that many of us enjoy and often take for granted.
These kids face many more day-to-day challenges than others and many have to grow up too fast, quickly leaving their childhood behind. They don't have what they need for school - missing the right school uniform, bag and even books. They try, but fall behind, and without support, the disadvantage they experience today is likely to continue into adulthood – and on to the next generation.
These little heroes are determined to do their best at school, but just need a little bit of help.
