"The Thriving (Online) Shelter Magazine Industry"

An insightful article about the "mini-boomlet" in online design mags ran in the New York Times today which I thought you'd all enjoy - Click to read "The Thriving (Online) Shelter Magazine Industry".

  1. Great article, but does the article read with a little bit of a dismissive tone, or is that just me? I feel a bit bad for Michelle!

  4. Well, I think Ms Adams is doing a wonderful job! Interesting story, thanks Louise. (I posted about on-line magazines today!) I must go and check out Matchbook - I haven't come across this one before :)

  5. Very interesting article indeed! It is quite fascinating how these magazines are helping form a different editorial design culture. I think the article was quite right to point out some things that it did (as harsh as some of that sound). These editors are definitely doing a great job but they still have a few things to learn... and I have to say the Lonny March issue 'video ed letter' made me cringe quite a few times (I mean was that the first take?). But hey, I still think they are absolutely fabulous and look forward to flicking through their latest issues all the time. xx
