The Living Room Files: "Before", "during" and "after"

While my fellow Australians are wading through knee deep water and buying the last of bottled water and petrol supplies (and they're the lucky ones), I continue rearranging furniture and making this house a home. It feels surreal, but here in Sydney, pretty much all we can do is donate as much as we can (find out how here) and stay glued to the 24 hour coverage. But for now, some light relief in the form of a little "before", "during" and "after" I prepared earlier:

{ BEFORE }

{ DURING }

{ AFTER }

I hope you approve of the new cushions!

  1. Looks LOVELY! I love how the green in the pillows picks up on the outdoors. And such a wonderful ideal to place the "LOVE" sign in the window!

    CONGRATS!

  8. We are feeling helpless even here on the Gold Coast as we are told not to go near the city (Brisbane). We are working as normal and it is completely surreal. Donating is the best way to help. We are also hoping to donate some furniture after people have cleaned up a bit. Oh yes, and your living room looks great. I love your house :)

    though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know
    what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to

  31. I drop a leave a response whenever I appreciate a post on a site or if I have something to contribute to
    the discussion. Usually it's caused by the passion communicated in the article I browsed. And after this post "The Living Room Files: "Before", "during" and "after"". I was actually moved enough to post a commenta response ;-) I actually do have a few questions for you if you do not mind. Is it simply me or does it give the impression like a few of these remarks come across like written by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are posting on other online sites, I'd like to keep
    up with you. Could you make a list all of all your community pages like your
    twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin
    profile?

  33. Hi there this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to
    manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
