Our new 1950's (beach) house floorplan

I'm not sure how proficient you all are in "floorplan reading" (hot tip: marry an architect!), but here's another peek at our new place (it's got a "patio"!). The bottom of the image is due North and also the front yard, while the top of the image is where the back yard is. We love, love, love her and yes, I can't wait to fill you all in on her (gradual) makeover. We'll move in just before Christmas (yeah, that should be interesting!), and the Mini Tonics are as good as booked into schools/daycare already for 2011! And PS When I win Lotto? I'm totally buying her a Togo.

Above, the beautiful backyard (those trees!), complete with two separate log cabins (hello office!) and below, the front yard. Yes, that's Mini Tonic #1 testing out the turf...

PPS Thank you all SO much for the kind words and congratulatory comments, tweets and emails. Wow. You gave me "a heart-attack of happy", as Gala would say...

  1. cute house but seeng all that greenery I just worry about those funnel spiders I hear about in Australia! All kidding aside, it would be great to have Mr. Tonic write a cheat sheet on reading blue prints for those of use who could not get into architect school. Have fun decorating! BTW the Palms Springs cover house bears a strong resemblance to Bob Hopes iconic round house on the hill in Palm Springs.

  3. LOVE plans - thank you for putting them up. I see the patio is almost internal - something i'm currently obsessing over. And that back garden looks like rainforest! Very AvalonyPalmBeachyUpTherey look. It's fabulous. How exciting. Hope you'll keep us all posted on how it all progresses.

  7. omg i love it! super envious! Especially of your log cabins!! You could make one an office & one a bunk room for when the mini tonics have freinds over in a few years time! Then you wont have to listen to them laughing/smashing around all night!

  9. I relocated to Marica, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a beautiful place to relax , vacation, relocate, or retire. The place is beautiful, safe, friendly, and affordable. You can buy a beachfront villa here for about $149,000. Check out this website: www.investmentsonthebeach.com
The investment potential here is also wonderful. Contact me if you are going to visit the area. I will be happy to show you around!

a pretty penny? I'm not very internet smart so I'm not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
